Early in the morning we will begin our tour by visiting the Plaza Murillo to see the Legislative and Governmental Palaces. The Calle Jaen is a beautiful old colonial street full of museums and you can choose which one you would like to visit. The tour will then take us to the Los Andes district where you will be able to see the stunning carnival costumes made by the nimble fingers of the local craftspeople. We will continue on to the Witches’ Market and the baroque mestizo San Francisco Church and then to visit a replica of the Tiwanaku Semi-subterranean Temple. A 20-minute ride will take us through the city’s residential areas and down to the Valley of the Moon, an eerie landscape of natural geological formations which we will visit after lunch.
