Leave the city of La Paz for the small isolated Aymara community of Chacaltaya, around 45 minutes from the city centre. This small isolated community surrounded by snow-capped mountains and next to a lake stocked with fish is home to llama and alpaca herders who have come together to offer an unforgettable community experience. Go for a walk, fish for trout or simply enjoy the spectacular views before having a traditional meal of llama. This visit is a wonderful way of experiencing the Bolivian highland plain and flora and fauna. Return to La Paz in the afternoon.
