PUNO - DESAGUADERO
Leave Puno early in the morning, drive for 2 hours along the shores of Lake Titikaka to get to Bolivian border in Desaguadero, carry on to the pre-Inca arqueological site of Tiwanaku which date from around 1500 BC. Some of the well-preserved examples of this impressive culture. On arrival you will be met by an Amauta (Spiritual Leader) who will be waiting to perform a blessing ceremony for all visitors on the tour. After the ceremony, with your good luck ensured, we will take you to explore this deeply spiritual ancient site which was once home to the mighty Tiwanaku . You can explore the historic archaeological site on foot with our expert guide who will explain the religious symbolism of all the archaeological treasures you will see. You will also visit the two on-site museums to admire an excellent collection of historic artifacts, pottery, and human remains.

In the morning we will visit the Moon Valley and its geological formations and sightseeing in the south part of the city, special time to get deep in the la Paz authenticity markets, street food and Paceños Life styles.The Mystical City Half Day Tour delves deep into the spiritual side of Bolivian culture by visiting important mystical sites in and around La Paz. You’ll come to understand how syncretism is very important in Bolivia. This melding of Indian and Christian beliefs is deeply rooted into the hearts and minds of Bolivian people. This tour will give you a close look at the mystical side of Bolivia by visiting several interesting sites. The mountain spirits are very important to Bolivians, so your tour will start way up in the mountains, where the Amautas call home, after visiting the Witches Market, riding the red cable car and making a visit to the cemetery, you’ll finish the day off with a sweet treat.

LA PAZ / UYUNI / COLCHANII
Morning flight from La Paz to Uyuni. Breakfast and set out for the salt flats past a small settlement called Colchani where the locals process salt. We will not stop for much time as we are aiming to get to the middle of the Salt flats to see the eyes, salt mountains and salt blocks. This singular route takes us into one of the world’s most isolated areas where we will be alone surrounded by a glittering white landscape. After a couple of hours arrive at Isla del Pescado or Incahuasi Island to look at giant cacti, birds and vizcachas that have made this island their own. At midday stop for a buffet of delicious local produce in the middle of the salt flats, and then we will move on to the salt flats. In the afternoon we take one of the hundreds of routes across the salt flats to Tahua to see the Tunupa Volcano close up, visit the Chantani Museum and the Coquesa Mummies and learn about prehispanic cultures. Watch the sun go down in a blaze of intense colours. (B,L,D)

Set out early for the deserts and lakes of the region leaving the Salt Flat behind and moving across the majestic highland area to look out at spectacular mountains and hills over whimsical landscapes where the llamas and vicuñas welcome you to wending streams and an insight into the day to day life of the locals of the area, on the way we will continue on through the desert to the Stone Tree and pass the Blanca, Honda, Hedionda, Chiarcota and Negra Lagoons to relax and have lunch prepared by our team.
